About The Position

Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation Services, the Inpatient Therapy Manager maintains all day-to-day facility therapy operations. Responsible for developing, organizing, and managing the therapy services including the human, equipment, and financial resources to achieve maximum efficiency in meeting the needs of our community. Directly supervises the inpatient therapy team and serves as the person to whom they directly report. In collaboration with the various therapy leadership team members, hires, trains, and supervises all clinical and support staff, resolves all patient care issues, and serves as a role model for all Augusta Health employees. Responsible for patient safety, public relations, crisis management, and staff supervision. The individual must demonstrate the ability to interact with team members for an interdisciplinary team approach. Patient care is provided across the life span; therefore, clinicians will interpret data and assess patient’s needs relative to age specificity standards. The Inpatient Therapy Manager must maintain standards of a professional therapist and help create and improve the department’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, or Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology
  • BLS Certification
  • Three years of clinical experience

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a leadership role preferred
  • Membership in state and national professional organizations is preferred
