Inpatient Therapist - Full Time

About The Position

Red River Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a compassionate, qualified Licensed Inpatient Therapist to support patients’ emotional and psychological well-being through therapeutic activities and structured programming. The therapist plans, facilitates, and evaluates individual and group activities and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams to support positive treatment outcomes. Services may be provided in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Requirements

Current LMFT, LPC, or LMSW license required; requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers, or eligibility for state licensure, is required.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a Human Services field.
One or more years of experience working with a comparable patient population.
CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required; training is available upon hire and offered by the facility.

Responsibilities

Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders in individuals and families.
Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans.
Conduct individual, group, or family sessions as appropriate to each patient’s treatment plan.
Provide initial treatment planning based on assessment, coordinate additional services, and revise plans as needed.
Maintain documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards, revising it as indicated.
Maintain an assigned caseload.
Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate services appropriate to the patient’s treatment plan.
Provide services in an inpatient or outpatient setting, as applicable.
Perform case management, discharge planning, or aftercare planning as needed.
Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers; acknowledge and work to resolve unmet patient needs and complaints; and prioritize patient safety.
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
