About The Position

The Program Therapist performs social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. The clinical social services provided includes crisis intervention, individual therapy, short and/or long-term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. The Program Therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is also responsible for case management of consumers internal/ external support systems.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology
  • LPC or LSW REQUIRED
  • Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations
  • Trained in psychotherapy techniques providing therapy
  • Experience completing therapeutic documentation

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility
  • Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population
  • LCPC or LCSW preferred
  • Training in evidenced based models including CBT, DBT, etc. preferred
  • Time management skills
