About The Position

Work Schedule: 90% FTE, 3-12 hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. 7:00a-7:00p. You will work at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. You may be eligible for up to a $15,000 sign on bonus. Additional components of compensation may include: Evening, night, and weekend shift differential, Overtime, On-call pay. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
  • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
  • 2 years of recent medical surgical or related nursing experience.
  • Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois and required certification for respective nursing departments.
  • Bi-annual CPR and ACLS certification.
  • Successful completion of the UW Health PICC certification program within 6 months.

  • Experience in vascular access.
  • PICC certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vascular access services including PICC line insertion and maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
