About The Position
This position is for an Inpatient RN in Observation at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital. The role is 90% FTE, full-time, with evening/night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (1900-0730). It involves holiday and weekend rotation. Additional compensation may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
- Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
- Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
- Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.
- Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.
- No minimum experience required for general RN role.
- For 911 Call Center Triage Only: 2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting or Psychiatric Nursing setting.
- For 911 Call Center Triage Only: Community nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification in area of concentration.
- For 9th Floor Only: ACLS certification within two years of hire.
- For 911 Call Center Triage Only: Community nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an inpatient observation setting.
