About The Position

This is a full-time, 90% FTE position for an Inpatient RN in Observation at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital. The role involves working evening/night shifts, 3 12-hour shifts per week, with a weekend and holiday rotation. Additional compensation components include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
  • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
  • Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.
  • Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.
  • 2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting or Psychiatric Nursing setting (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
  • Community nursing experience (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certification in area of concentration.
  • ACLS certification within two years of hire (for 9th Floor Only).
  • Community nursing experience (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an inpatient observation setting.
