Inpatient Psychiatrist
About The Position
Psychiatrists provide direct service to clients as per privileges. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a manner consistent with current medical practices. The psychiatrist will coordinate and deliver patient care in a cost-effective manner, utilizing resources appropriately and adhering to all ABH protocols for care. Patients and families will be treated with respect and compassion. Effective communication with all staff, at all levels, is essential. The role requires collaborative work and respectful treatment of staff and other physicians to provide optimal patient care. Maintaining current practice knowledge is crucial through meeting Medical Staff and CME requirements, and by participating in ABH educational programs. Demonstrating competence of evidence-based practice by implementing accepted guidelines into patient care, and contributing to policy and procedure development for improvement initiatives is expected. Documentation must be completed within one (1) calendar day of service delivery, and productivity goals shall meet the designated percentage for the department.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certification/ Eligible
- Current DEA registration.
- Current CDS registration.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years post residency experience in psychiatry.
