About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician II assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and maintaining drug inventory and patient records. The technician accepts new orders from prescribers, enters order information into the electronic record, and prepares and affixes labels. The role is based in the Pharmacy at Flower Hospital and has a variable shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- For Ohio: active Ohio Board of Pharmacy Certified Technician License, or Ohio Board of Pharmacy Intern license and P2 status in schooling.
- For Michigan: active Michigan Board of Pharmacy Technician License, or Michigan Board of Pharmacy Intern license and P2 status in schooling.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician certification through either the PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam, unless the applicant has an intern license.
