Inpatient Pharmacy Tech
About The Position
The Inpatient Pharmacy Tech assists the Pharmacist, under their supervision, in the daily operation of the Pharmacy. In retail areas, the Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medications and handles day-to-day tasks such as processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing customer service. This entry-level position can serve as a stepping stone to more advanced pharmacy technician roles. The position is full-time, with rotating first and second shifts and every other weekend, at Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.
Requirements
- State Pharmacy Technician license or registration, if required by state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- National certification from PTCB or NHA.
Nice To Haves
- Previous pharmacy technician experience.
- Graduation from an ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program.
- 340B program experience, if working at a 340B facility.
