About The Position

St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-centered Pharmacy Technician for its dynamic inpatient team. This role involves preparing medication orders, assisting in dispensing and transporting medications, performing sterile and non-sterile compounding, utilizing automated/electronic systems, and maintaining required documentation and records. The Pharmacy Technician will uphold quality assurance standards, regulatory cleanliness compliance, and support inventory management activities. There is an opportunity to pursue proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and other advanced skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• <2 years experience
• No Supervisor Experience
• State Bd Pharm Registration
• Pharmacy Tech Certification

Nice To Haves

• Sterile IV compounding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Pursues proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and/or other advanced skills.
