About The Position

Our experienced home infusion team is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Tech 2. In this role, you will focus on a variety of sterile compounding activities. The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 2, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, prepares medication orders, and assists in dispensing & transporting medications. This position also conducts sterile and/or non-sterile compounding, uses various automated/electronic systems and maintains the required documentation & records.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• <2 years experience
• No Supervisor Experience
• State Bd Pharm Registration
• Pharmacy Tech Certification

Nice To Haves

• Nationally certified pharmacy technician
• Previous sterile compounding and/or home infusion experience strongly preferred
• 2-5 years experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
• Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Pursues proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and/or other advanced skills.
