About The Position

This role is for an Inpatient Pharmacy Allied Health Student who will perform all accountabilities under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. Responsibilities include obtaining and verifying medications for distribution to patient care units, distributing medications, ordering medications from suppliers, preparing parenteral products, and maintaining medication inventory. The student will also perform other duties as directed, prepare data reports, and assist in data analysis upon request. A key aspect of the role is to consistently provide service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program or an allied health program
  • Must meet one (1) of the following licensure/certification requirements: Registered as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, Registered as a Pharmacy Intern, or Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the medication inventory and places orders in stock.
