About The Position

This role involves assuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders. The Inpatient Pharmacist will review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems, recommending formulary alternatives when appropriate. Responsibilities include compounding and dispensing medications for accurate delivery to patients, providing drug information and education to medical staff and patients, and communicating with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care. The role also entails overseeing technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies, assisting with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students, and potentially floating to provide coverage of pharmacy needs. Patient counseling will be provided efficiently and effectively when required.

Requirements

Pharmacist credentialed from the Indiana Board Of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
