About The Position

The setting is Inpatient/Outpatient. The schedule is PRN/Per Diem availability with flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and Monday–Friday for vacation coverage and to support business needs as required. The position requires the candidate to be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. New Grads are welcome. Mississippi State Licensure or Provisional Licensure is required. The position details involve providing individualized nutrition assessment, intervention, and education to inpatient populations while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Mississippi State Licensure or Provisional Licensure is required.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
  • Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
  • Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
  • Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
  • Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
  • Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
