About The Position

Genesis Healthcare System is a Level 3 Trauma Center with a 260-bed capacity, serving semi-complex patients with multiple orthopedic and internal injuries. The primary patient age group is Adult/Geriatric and young adult. Diagnoses include Neurosurgical, Neurological, Cardiovascular (including CABG patients), general surgery, and medically complex/intubated patients in Critical Care. Familiarity with Orthopedics/Joint Replacement post-operative surgery patients is preferred.

Requirements

• Ohio license and registry required (cannot be in process).
• BLS required.
• Daytime schedule on Acute Inpatient.
• Must provide coverage for Saturday OR Sunday each week of assignment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Orthopedics/Joint Replacement post-operative surgery patients preferred.
• 2 years' Acute Care experience preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to adult/geriatric and young adult patients.
• Treat patients with diagnoses including orthopedic and internal injuries, neurosurgical, neurological, cardiovascular (including CABG patients), general surgery, and medically complex/intubated patients in Critical Care.
• Cover regular weekend dates, with a preference for Saturday OR Sunday each week of the assignment.
• Work to accommodate flexibility for weekend shift scheduling in conjunction with the Traveler's personal schedule.
