The Inpatient Hospice Nurse, LPN is responsible for providing skilled nursing bedside care to the terminally ill patient. 3HC Home Health and Hospice has provided compassionate care to North Carolinians since 1981. Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.
• One-year of recent experience in an acute facility preferred.
• Successful completion of skills assessment.
• Possess and maintain current certification in CPR for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Must have good observational/nursing judgement and communication skills.
• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina

Responsibilities

• Abides by and supports 3HC's Compliance Program and Code of Ethics.
• Creates positive experiences for internal and external customers.
• Provides comfort to patient/family to facilitate quality of life and death with dignity.
• Maintains current electronic documentation and submits every shift.
• Teaches and counsels the patient/family.
• Maintains regular communication with supervisor.
• Stays abreast of overall patient care and improves nursing care skills.
• Works in GIP level of care when necessary, accompanied by a RN, and administers required meds.
• Demonstrates an interest in personal and professional growth.
• Demonstrates a willingness to be cost-effective in the use of Agency resources.
• Adheres to 3HC's Personnel Policy and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
