About The Position

Anchor Hospital is seeking an Inpatient General Psychiatrist for a full-time 1099 contract position available in June 2027. The role is based at a 122-bed facility accredited by The Joint Commission, specializing in behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for adolescents, adults, and elderly adults. The hospital is conveniently located near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, GA. The position involves managing a daily caseload of 18-20 patients aged 10 and older, working Monday through Friday during day hours, with shared call responsibilities. The psychiatrist will work within a multidisciplinary team and utilize Cerner for documentation.

Requirements

• Board Certified in General Psychiatry required.
• Active or eligible GA license.
• Active DEA.
• Must be comfortable and willing to see ages 10 and older.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years post-residency experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform admission evaluations and assessments.
• Manage treatment teams.
• Oversee discharge processes.
• Perform related administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, and support staff.
• Document care using Cerner.
• Supervise Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (NPs).
