About The Position

The Anchor Hospital campus is a 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission that specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for adolescents, adults and elderly adults. Anchor Hospital is situated two and one-half miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. This is an Inpatient General Psychiatrist position with a Monday-Friday onsite schedule, day hours, and a 1:4 shared call. The daily caseload is 18-20 patients, ages 10 and older. The role involves admission evaluations and assessments, managing treatment teams, overseeing discharge processes, and performing related administrative tasks. You will collaborate with physicians, NPs, and support staff, document care using Cerner, and provide NP supervision. The preferred contract type is 1099.

Requirements

• Board Certified in General Psychiatry required
• Active or eligible GA license
• Active DEA
• Must be comfortable and willing to see ages 10 and older

Nice To Haves

• 2 years post-residency experience is preferred
