Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the established Gastroenterology Consult Service as an independent APP, offering exceptional autonomy and independence. Requirements
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- APRN (Family Nurse Practitioner) or PA training
- 1+ years’ experience in an inpatient/acute care gastroenterology or relevant setting
Responsibilities
- Perform routine physical examinations.
- Formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
- Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols.
- Identify problems outside of their scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician.
