Inpatient Dietitian
About The Position
Take the next step in your career with Unidine as a Inpatient Dietitian in Wyoming, MI! This role is located at Unidine at University of Michigan Health West in an Acute Care setting. The schedule is Monday - Friday with 1 rotating weekend. This position requires the candidate to be a Registered Dietitian with a valid CDR # or RD eligible. The facility has 208 beds and focus areas include Adult Acute Critical Care, Med/Sug/Tele, Neurology, Ortho, and Oncology. This is an exciting opportunity to become trained in RD Bedside Cortrak Feeding Tube Placements and work in a supportive interdisciplinary setting as the nutrition support expert. The EMR system used is Epic and the usual census is ~140-18.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
- Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
- Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
- Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
- Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
- Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
- Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
- Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
