About The Position
The Inpatient Diabetes Educator is a nursing position in a highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging environment. The Clinical Nurse Educator collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to promote appropriate care for inpatients with diabetes from admission through discharge, providing education to patients and their families. The position is at Methodist Southwest Medical Center, a 314-bed, full-service acute care teaching hospital serving communities in southwestern Dallas County. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold a current Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Hold current CPR.
- Be a Certified Diabetic Educator or eligible to become one.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Credentialing as a diabetic education specialist or diabetes clinical management specialist preferred.
