About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder with a minimum of 3 years of experience coding for an acute care teaching and trauma level 1 facility. The ideal candidate will be experienced in coding trauma and complex medical cases and surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties. This role requires proficiency with Epic and 3M, and a relevant credential such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience coding for an acute care teaching and trauma level 1 facility
• Experienced in coding trauma and complex medical cases and surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties including but limited to Cardiac, Vascular, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Critical Care, Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Gen Medicine and Surgery.
• Experience with Epic and 3M
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credential with the appropriate experience listed above
• Able to maintain a minimum of 95% accuracy
• Able to ramp up to meet production within 3-4 weeks after passing initial audit.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Self-disciplined and self-motivated enough to be successful working in a remote environment with minimum supervision
