About The Position

The Innovation Technician performs a combination of pest control, exclusion services, minor construction, and Thermal Acoustical Pest (TAP) insulation installation for residential and commercial clients. The role includes inspecting for pest activity, delivering pest-control services, installing and maintaining termite-control systems, preparing and cleaning up job sites, assisting with repairs related to pest damage, removing wildlife, and communicating with customers about services and pest-control measures. The technician follows safety protocols, completes production forms, and participates in training to stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations. Work may take place indoors and outdoors and involves animals and insects, confined spaces, heights, and physical activity. Required licenses or certificates are covered by the company.

Requirements

• Clean-shaven face so that rebreathers can seal properly.
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday and Saturdays as needed.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information in internal and external settings.
• Basic math skills, including arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and the ability to follow product-label mixing instructions.
• Ability to obtain licenses or certificates required by federal, state, or local regulations; the company covers these requirements.
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, around animals and insects, at heights, and in other conditions described in the posting.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in local weather conditions and wear required personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Ability to maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces and to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, or poles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties to identify pest activity and perform pest-control services for residential and commercial clients.
• Install and maintain termite-control systems.
• Install TAP insulation and manage job-site preparation and cleanup.
• Assist with light construction, minor repairs, and replacements related to pest damage.
• Communicate with customers to explain services, ensure satisfaction, and provide pest-control guidance.
• Perform exclusion services and wildlife removal, including setting up and building exclusion traps and removing trapped animals.
• Follow safety protocols while performing services.
• Complete production forms documenting services provided.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations, and participate in training.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle and keep the vehicle and equipment clean.
