About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Innovation Engineer to join our team in Roanoke, VA. This is a onsite position that requires regular in-person attendance at our office location. The Innovation Engineer collaborates with the Innovation Team to design, develop, and test cutting-edge medical devices and solutions to address complex healthcare challenges within a hospital setting. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to identify clinical needs, translating them into technical requirements, and deliver innovative, safe, and effective solutions. The engineer will collaborate on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while adhering to regulatory standards. Additionally, the Innovation Engineer will conduct rigorous device testing, provide technical support for existing systems, and stay abreast of emerging technologies to continuously advance healthcare innovation and patient outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or in lieu of degree, associate's degree and 2 years of experience.
2 years of relevant experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with electrical systems, electronics, and basic hardware prototyping, including experience with microcontrollers, single-board computers, sensors, and related components.
Familiarity with programming or scripting languages used for prototyping, testing, automation, or hardware integration.
Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and quality management system requirements applicable to medical device design and development.
