About The Position

As a member of the Innovation Equipment team, this person will be responsible for managing equipment performance and factory metrics in collaboration with Fab Engineering teams. The position will require strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment operation and maintenance, in order to analyze equipment data, develop solutions, and ensure actions are implemented. Additionally, this role will need to exhibit strong communication skills in order to lead cross-functional teams internally to Samsung and externally with equipment vendors and OEMs.

Requirements

  • B.S. in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering preferred. Other engineering/manufacturing degrees accepted.
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in Semiconductor industry required.
  • Knowledge in theory of operations and equipment maintenance preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Project or Program Manager position with a background in Lean and/or Six Sigma.

Nice To Haves

  • Green/Black Belt Lean Certification preferred.
  • Programming experience in Python, SQL, HTML is a plus
  • Full Stack development and cloud computing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage fab wide equipment engineering improvement projects across cross-functional teams and business units.
  • Lead Lean activities to include Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process mapping, and AIW.
  • Work with fab engineering teams to analyze equipment gap-to-goal and drive initiatives to meet performance metrics.
  • Staff/Executive level presentations, proposals and status reports to drive continuous improvement process.
  • Possess expert understanding of semiconductor equipment and should be capable of shifting focus of individual goals when priorities change.
  • Work with multiple engineering teams to reduce inefficiencies using data analysis and lean methodology.
  • Work with equipment analytics and solutions team to interpret data to develop and implement novel solutions for cross functional teams.
