This position involves directly supervising, hiring, training, and evaluating marine personnel operating in the Gulf Inland Waters. Key responsibilities include conducting Tug Inspections, attending SIRE inspections, and performing evaluations and navigation audits of Deck Officers through direct observations on board. The role also entails developing marine operations and cost control programs for vessels, assisting in new project development, and interfacing with customers. Additionally, the Inland Port Captain will assist in vessel scheduling of personnel as required and produce weekly Operations reports.
