About The Position

LPi is seeking an Inkjet Press Operator for its Hartford, Connecticut production facility. The role is responsible for operating and maintaining inkjet equipment to produce quality printed products for shipment. The operator also cross-trains on inkjet production lines and bindery equipment, works with the press team leader to meet quality and deadline expectations, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with occasional four-hour Saturday shifts. Compensation is $23.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience. Benefits are available from the first of the month following employment. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate inkjet equipment according to training, management direction, and LPi’s safe-operation guidelines and processes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain inkjet equipment, including cleaning it and notifying the team leader or maintenance team member of issues or concerns.
• Maintain inventory of consumables such as inkjet cartridges.
• Cross-train on inkjet production lines to operate and maintain bindery equipment, rotating weekly.
• Work closely with the press team leader to meet quality and deadline expectations.
• Maintain press logs documenting equipment history, parts, and repairs.
• Participate in continuous improvement training and initiatives, including submitting Opportunities, Problems and Ideas (OPIs) and helping implement solutions.
• Collaborate across functions and centers to generate ideas and share knowledge.
