About The Position

This is an in-plant position within the customer's plant. The Ink Technician is responsible for producing high-quality blended inks that meet customer specifications. This role involves hands-on work in the ink formulation process, ensuring accurate color matching and timely delivery of press-ready inks to customer equipment. The technician will maintain organized work areas and contribute to quality assurance by adhering to production schedules and safety regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in chemistry or a related field is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Press toning experience
Flexo Printing experience
Color formulation
Color matching experience
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Comfort working with chemicals in a production environment.
Comfortable working 12 hour rotating shifts.
Experience toning inks
Flexo printing experience
Color formulation and matching experience
Experience working with water-based inks
Ability to work a 12-hour shift and fill in other shifts when needed.
Ability to work independently after training and set priorities.
Good work ethic and a goal setter.

Nice To Haves

Experience in ink formulation, blending, or a related field is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks efficiently to customer equipment while adhering to quality standards.
Perform precise color matching and ink formulation according to customer production schedules.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including records of color matches, ink adjustments, consignment returns, and customer complaints as directed by the supervisor.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace to support a safe and efficient work environment.
Adhere to all required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
