About The Position

Join Amcor as an Ink Blender and play a key role in producing high-quality inks that meet customer specifications. In this role, you'll estimate, mix, and color-match inks, maintain accurate records, and provide support to the Press Department using X-Rite color management technology.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs. as needed
  • Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shifts
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
  • Frequent use of hands and wrists
  • Frequent stepping on and off platforms
  • Occasional extended reaching away from the body
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience using Novaflow software

Responsibilities

  • Monitor press schedules and estimate ink requirements
  • Weigh, mix, and color-match inks to specifications
  • Manage and utilize existing ink inventory
  • Screen and rework returned ink when appropriate
  • Support press operators with color matching as needed
  • Enter and maintain color standards and formulas in X-Rite software
  • Document ink data and update existing formulas
  • Develop new color formulations as needed
  • Provide drawdowns and color samples to Customer Service
  • Calibrate and maintain X-Rite equipment
  • Tag, store, and organize fresh and returned inks
  • Repack drum ink into pails as needed
  • Participate in team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Cross-train in other departments and equipment as needed
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing and Prerequisite Program requirements to ensure safe food packaging.
  • Awareness of and adherence to all Corporate and Site Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including Food Safety.
  • Comply with all 5S, Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection & Tightening (CILT) requirements.
