About The Position

Cogent Thinking is seeking a Casual Triage Injury Management Consultant to connect with injured employees and their managers to support them through their workplace injury. This role involves offering injury triage, first aid advice, support, and linking individuals to available support services and resources. The consultant will work within a Triage Team dedicated to providing personalized health management support and advice to employees who have sustained injuries at work, utilizing clinical experience in a corporate setting. The work is conducted telephonically and can be performed from home or the office.

Requirements

  • Experienced Allied Health (Physio, Osteo, Chiro, OT, EP etc) practitioner with full registration or a Registered Nurse.
  • Hold a current and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Evidence of completion of First Aid (level 2) or in circumstances where staff have obtained “Basic Life Support” training within a hospital setting.
  • Caring and empathic nature.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience care coordination or occupational rehabilitation desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support and care for clients with empathy and expertise to improve their personal health and wellbeing goals.
  • Undertake coordination of supports and wellbeing services for a highly engaged and motivated client population.
  • Provide initial early intervention Triage with clients, supporting both physical and mental health services.
  • Undertake relevant case coordination activity including liaison with all stakeholders, provision of email updates, and creation of appropriate documentation such as treatment plans or other documentation as required.
