About The Position

Royal is a diverse manufacturer of injection molding, urethane foam and assemblies, serving the automotive, furniture, and consumer products industries. We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded individual with a desire to learn our injection molding machines and processes. If hired, you will spend 9-12 months working through a robust in-house training program designed to develop you into a technical leader at Royal. We will equip you with the technical skills needed to grow into a supervisor role. This is a 2nd shift position (4pm-12am) Monday-Friday, based out of our Cullman, AL facility.

Requirements

Proven hands-on technical experience (work or personal) is highly preferred (utility, maintenance, process tech, etc.).
Experience with injection molding equipment is a plus.
High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience.
Willing and able to work 45-50 hours per week.
Ability to train on 1st shift (8am-4pm) for 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment.
Problem-solve to develop corrective actions for customer issues and ideas for improvement.
Climb in and out of injection molding equipment to perform mold and color changes.
Prioritize production orders and oversee the production of quality products to ensure customer standards and needs are met.
Maintain the work area, equipment, and molds to provide an organized workplace and proper tools.
Responsible for machine safety and for following all prescribed lock out procedures.
Learn to schedule team machine assignments and break coverage to hit daily goals.
Work alongside current Molding Supervisors, learning to lead a small team (3-6) in the execution of daily production tasks and continuous improvement.
Practice writing and conducting employee performance evaluations.
