About The Position

The Injection Molding Team Lead is responsible for ensuring all safety and quality procedures are followed and actively working to improve these programs. This role involves training, coaching, and supporting mold technicians, managing production schedules, and addressing production barriers promptly. The Team Lead will also work closely with other departments, encourage a continuous improvement culture, and maintain clear communication between shifts. Additionally, this position involves creating and modifying standardized work procedures and promoting a positive work environment to meet company goals.

Requirements

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the injection molding field
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and follow-up on tasks with timely completion.
Communicates effectively.
Works well within a Team environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program.
Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.
Follows all procedures & work instructions.
Works to maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s).
Completes visual inspection on products through the shift.
Trains, coaches, and support the mold techs to ensure SMED is being utilized.
Schedule and maintain production and visual management boards for the molding department.
Address molding barriers promptly.
Works directly with other departments within the plant.
Encourages continuous improvement of culture.
Identify and address non-conforming products.
Responsible for clear and consistent communication between shifts.
Assisting in modification of existing procedures.
Creation of new standardized work procedures.
Encourages and promotes a positive work environment.
Performs any other tasks required to ensure the Company goals are met as directed.
