About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plastic Injection Set-Up Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining plastic injection molding machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role requires technical expertise in mold installation and machine troubleshooting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in plastics technology or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding setup.
Strong knowledge of injection molding machines and mold installation.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
Hands-on experience with mold setups, related tooling, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines according to production specifications.
Install and remove molds, ensuring proper alignment and function.
Verify correct process install for initialization.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to set up of plastic injection mold.
Verify and stage injection molds based on production schedule.
Provide feedback on maintenance needs on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Maintain accurate production records, setup logs, and troubleshooting reports.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.
Train and assist machine operators on proper molding techniques and troubleshooting methods.
