About The Position

This position works under minimal supervision and is responsible for operating one or more of the Injection Molding Production Lines as assigned that shift. The duties described above are not inclusive. Additional duties may be permanently assigned or required from time to time due to the need to respond to customer needs and remain competitive in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Basic computer usage including mouse.
  • Ability to learn label printing software.
  • Basic understanding of English to read work orders and write information.
  • Mechanical aptitude to perform set up, daily start up, tuning, minor repair of filling and packaging.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to use logic to troubleshoot production machine issues.
  • Ability to visually inspect required coding, product labeling, and finished goods to identify defects and to match products with the appropriate packaging.
  • Ability to develop thorough understanding of operational procedures to practice safe manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage stress.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time on a concrete floor, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Position spends approximately 5% of time sitting at a workstation and 95% standing or walking.
  • Vision must be within or correctable to within normal range.
  • Must work from the Arlington, TX facility and be able to work on time on a regular basis during scheduled shift.
  • Must be available for evening/weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Pull work orders at the beginning of the shift and throughout the shift as needed.
  • Verify work order labels and data, ensuring accuracy prior to starting production.
  • Inspect product type, label, color, and molding uniformity.
  • Load appropriate label file.
  • Run production equipment at standard rates set by Company.
  • Begin production run, per work order.
  • Use a weight scale for accuracy.
  • Print and label boxes.
  • Pull flattened case boxes and assemble enough of them for that shift.
  • Print and label cases.
  • Perform final assembly and/or packaging of molded parts.
  • Record production run data on work order and in ERP System (EPICOR).
  • Stop machine at the end of the run.
  • Clean and maintain production machines and work areas.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on machine, resolving basic problems as trained.
  • Escalate machine problems to the Maintenance Team and/or Lead as required.
  • Perform in a manner consistent with company Core Values and Purpose.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually.
  • Clock in and out for work and lunch with no more than 1 error per month.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow all OSHA and other safety guidelines.
  • Actively demonstrate teamwork at all times.
  • Manage any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
  • Adhere to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
  • Follow other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
  • Work comfortably around automated machinery.
