About The Position

The Injection Molding Machine Operator I is responsible for operating and monitoring plastic injection molding machines to produce thermoplastic parts that meet quality and specification requirements. This entry-level role performs routine machine operation, inspection, and secondary processes under supervision.

Requirements

Must be able to lift 55lbs
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work in a noisy and fast paced environment
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail is required
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend written English for safety, quality, and production documentation purposes
High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year Injection Molding Machine Operator experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Operate injection molding machines under established procedures and supervision
Monitor machine operation by observing and listening for irregularities or malfunctions
Perform secondary operations, including trimming flash and drilling holes
Conduct visual inspections of parts to ensure conformance to specifications
Accurately count, package, and label acceptable quality parts
Maintain accurate records of production and labor hours
Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned
Keep work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
