We have an opportunity for an Injection Molding Set-Up Technician to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will ensure safety, quality, customer service, and cost control. You will be proactive in mold change process and quality improvements. You will improve and document standard mold change activity for injection molding machines and secondary equipment. You will: Operate machines, start up and shutdowns, perform machine adjustments and maintain all equipment to meet Safety and Quality requirements. Set-up and process all molding machines to the optimum conditions, and make sure the machines are operating under validated operating parameters. Ensure all department procedures are understood and followed. Assist operators in processing and troubleshooting. Ensure that P.M.s are performed routinely on molds, molding machines, and auxiliary equipment. Direct and perform mold changeovers with appropriate tools and tooling (i.e., overhead crane, forklifts, and assigned toolboxes) and establish change over cycle time sheets and process sheets. Perform special projects and assignments. Participate in Process Management Teams and LEAN initiatives. Must be able to communicate effectively with department personnel and all support functions (Quality, Tool Room, Mold Shop, and Maintenance). Lead the shift and report shift performance in the absence of the Team Leader (i.e. downtime, production, scrap). Perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Group Lead and Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Able to communicate effectively in the English language.
Two or more years of Injection Molding processing experience on presses ranging from 50 to 1500 ton.
Experience with hot runner systems.
Ability to learn how to operate a variety of injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment (Dryers, Thermolaters, temperature controllers).
Must understand machine controls and set points.
Ability to troubleshoot processes and perform root cause.
Knowledge of processing different types of resins.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of hand and power tools.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently, stand for prolonged periods of time, and do repetitive motions with arms, hands, and fingers.
Steel-toed footwear is required.
