About The Position
Ada Technologies Inc. is an international automotive supplier of transmission & shifter assembly components. ATI has an opening for a Plastic Injection Mold - Technician. This role provides technical leadership on the production floor, ensures high-quality output, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The PIM Technician serves as a subject-matter expert in mold performance, process stability and advanced problem solving.
Requirements
- Expert-level setup, optimization, troubleshooting and maintenance of injection molding processes and equipment.
- Technical leadership on the production floor.
- Ensuring high-quality output.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Subject-matter expert in mold performance, process stability and advanced problem solving.
- Performing complex mold setups, startups and changeovers with minimal downtime.
- Basic mold maintenance and machine preventative maintenance.
- Validating new molds, materials and processes.
- Diagnosing root causes of recurring molding issues such as warpage, splay, shorts, burns, flash and dimensional nonconformities.
- Leading corrective action activities and implementing long-term solutions to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
- Performing systematic troubleshooting on molding machines, auxiliary equipment and molds.
Responsibilities
