About The Position

Injection Mold Machine Operators package and move finished products, enter data into computer-based systems, generate tickets, and stage products. They are responsible for safe machine operation in their assigned area and must follow good manufacturing practices, identify and prevent quality problems, and troubleshoot the injection molding process. The operator packages finished products according to customer specifications and internal requirements; starts injection presses from a cold-start state; understands machine functions and process parameters; and adjusts machine conditions to meet production standards without compromising quality. The role includes maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping, taking corrective action and notifying the Lead, Quality, and Shift Technician when quality problems arise, and understanding dryer, chiller, mold, and preform measurement processes. Operators assist with mold changes and setups and perform minor maintenance. The position requires adherence to safety rules, communicating hazards, using required personal protective equipment, supporting Blow Mold Machine Operators and other team members, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents, and taking reasonable care to prevent injury. Operators also monitor cleanliness and report observations that could pose a product-safety risk. Other related duties may be assigned by the Lead or Supervisor. This is a heavy-physical-demand role. Employees may need to push or pull up to 1,000 pounds for 50 feet using a hydraulic hand jack, frequently lift and carry up to 75 pounds, and rarely lift up to 100 pounds. The role involves standing or walking for up to 11 hours per shift on a concrete floor, along with bending, twisting, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, grasping, and other hand and finger movements. Employees must be willing to work any shift and overtime as required, including weekends and holidays. A high school diploma or GED is required. Blow mold or injection mold training or experience is preferred; manufacturing-process experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude is also relevant. Candidates should have attention to detail, quality focus, accurate data-entry skills, sound judgment, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to manage time independently in a fast-paced production environment.
