About The Position
The Injection GL is responsible for supporting production operations while ensuring product safety and quality. The role prepares production paperwork for machine start-up and operation, monitors machines and product collection, performs quality checks, identifies and reports nonconformities, evaluates and documents machine performance, and prepares shift handoff paperwork. It also involves maintaining printers and labelers, un-jamming assemblers, packaging and labeling boxes for shipment, and keeping the work area clean and safe. Duties must be performed in accordance with safety rules and procedures. The position is on the D team and is listed for nights, from 6:30 p.m. to 6:45 a.m.
Responsibilities
- Ensure product safety and quality in the performance of assigned duties.
- Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected in storage boxes and counted correctly.
- Pull shots for quality checks following machine restarts or as needed.
- Identify nonconformities and inform Shift QA.
- Evaluate product for quality and conformance with established standards.
- Report food safety and quality problems or concerns.
- Evaluate and document machine performance.
- Maintain ink in printers and labels in labelers.
- Un-jam assemblers as needed.
- Tape boxes shut, label boxes, and stack them for shipment.
- Prepare paperwork for the following shift, noting problems or exceptions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including sweeping, cleaning, and sorting as necessary.
- Perform duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties and follow job-related instructions requested by the supervisor.
