Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 10 years or more of experience in supervision or execution of work on bridges and structures and/or in the field of infrastructure and roadways.
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Possession of a construction site safety course (ASP).
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a car.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the standards and procedures of the Ministère des Transports du Québec.
  • Completion of various training courses provided by the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) or successful completion of certain MTQ-required training (Construction and repair of structures, STC-201, STC-102).

Responsibilities

  • Perform site supervision for transport infrastructure (bridges and structures, roadways) according to client requirements and prepare plans and specifications to ensure work meets project objectives safely.
  • Participate in site meetings and conduct qualitative and quantitative controls of work and its implementation.
  • Measure completed structures, compile quantities, and prepare documents for payment requests, as well as write daily reports.
  • Coordinate work supervision with our teams.
  • Assist the project manager in managing changes, preparing amendments, and documenting work through memos.
  • Write notices.
  • Occasionally assist in preparing project plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • All other tasks related to the job.
