About The Position

Haleon is currently looking for a Building and Utilities Engineer to join the Montreal (Saint-Laurent) team. This role is responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing plant utility systems, ensuring their reliability, compliance, and energy performance. The position involves developing engineering plans, conducting technical simulations, overseeing operations, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. The engineer will lead utility infrastructure projects, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure adherence to budgets and timelines. Responsibilities also include ensuring regulatory compliance by preparing necessary documentation and adapting systems to evolving standards. The role further encompasses energy management, implementing efficient technologies, monitoring energy performance, and applying safety protocols and staff training. Finally, the engineer will provide ongoing technical support, propose improvements, and stay informed about industry innovations and best practices.

Requirements

  • Mastery of French is required for effective communication and adherence to operational and regulatory standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in utility engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required (written/spoken) to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders in other provinces/countries.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance, with a good command of standards and regulations (CSA, ULC, CCQ, CSQ, NFPA 70, OSHA) as well as RBQ requirements and relevant chapters of the Quebec Building Code.
  • Technical leadership and ability to positively influence decisions through sound professional judgment.
