We are seeking a knowledgeable Stress Engineer with damage tolerance analysis and repair engineering experience. This role offers the opportunity for career growth in engineering as well as possibilities for leadership. In today's climate, the safety of passengers on our aircraft is paramount and at Capgemini you will have the opportunity to work on providing your technical expertise on large commercial aircraft.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a relevant experience of minimum of eight (8) years in stress analysis in the aerospace industry including a minimum of three (3) years performing damage tolerance analyses on aircraft primary structures.
  • You have a minimum of three (3) years of repair experience in aircraft/airframe.
  • You have a good understanding of applicable airworthiness regulations (experience with Transport Canada is an asset).
  • You are a dynamic person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good judgment.
  • You have good knowledge in aircraft metallic structure stress analysis (practical experience on commercial aircraft structures is an asset).
  • You are comfortable in interrogating aircraft structure repair drawings (Catia V5 is an asset).
  • You master MS Office software. (Visual Basic coding experience is an asset).
  • Expertise in NASGRO (required).
  • You have strong, written and spoken, communication skills in English (French is an asset).

  • Practical experience on commercial aircraft structures is an asset.
  • Catia V5 is an asset.
  • Visual Basic coding experience is an asset.
  • Golihat experience is an asset.
  • French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Apply your own specific knowledge of aircraft stress areas for metallic repairs on aircraft structures.
  • Perform damage tolerance analyses for specific repairs in support of the fleet.
  • Prepare and review stress analysis reports.
  • Interact with a multidisciplinary team in the development of structural repair solutions.
  • Provide updates to the aircraft manuals such as Aircraft Structural Repair Publication and Aircraft Maintenance Publication.
