About The Position

Prevost, a division of Volvo Group Canada Inc., is seeking an Electrical Product Engineer for its Ste-Claire plant. This role is crucial for developing sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions of tomorrow, working with advanced technologies and top teams. The Electrical Product Engineer is responsible for and participates in the development of various product systems or components, guiding design and ensuring technical integrity. They advise the organization to maintain its technological leadership and act as guardians of the product.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Experience in product development, design of electrical distribution systems (low and high voltage), and design of electrical harnesses in the automotive sector.
Technical knowledge: automotive electrical components (connectors, wiring, fuses, batteries, etc.), norms and standards (ISO, SAE), automotive regulations (F/CMVSS), risk and reliability analysis (FMEA, HARA).
Writing skills: Specifications, test plans, technical reports.
Languages: Excellent command of French and English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

Ensure technical responsibility for electrical systems and guarantee their compliance.
Define technical requirements and collaborate with suppliers for optimal integration.
Supervise the design, validation, and testing of electrical components.
Mentor technical teams and support development and production.
Participate in factory integration and in-service problem resolution.
Conduct technological watch and act as an internal reference for electrical solutions.
Evaluate risks and propose solutions to achieve project objectives.
