About The Position

Your role as a Damage Tolerance Stress Engineer will be to analyze the damage tolerance of primary structural elements (PSE).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in stress analysis of metal aircraft structures, with a specialization in fatigue and damage tolerance design (DTD)
  • Proficiency in NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASGRO, CATIA V5, as well as the MS Office suite and Google Workspace
  • Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and strong team spirit
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and communicate in French and English

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an aircraft development program or in-service support, including certification activities, is a plus
  • Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques is considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct damage tolerance analyses on primary structural elements (PSE)
  • Provide recommendations on aircraft structural design and repair concepts
  • Develop fatigue spectra
  • Validate damage tolerance analyses against experimental results
  • Support the development of the maintenance manual in collaboration with the technical publications and maintenance engineering groups
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with program methodology and technical requirements
  • Review supplier reports and analyses
  • Prepare certification reports
