Requirements

  • Civil engineering degree or related degree.
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage civil engineering projects.
  • Good knowledge of the Civil Construction field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Proficiency in French (spoken and written).
  • Intermediate level in English (spoken) and advanced (written).
  • Availability for occasional travel to various sites and offices in Northern Quebec.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Realize and supervise sewer and water systems, drinking water reservoirs, new residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
  • Design stormwater management structures.
  • Perform the necessary calculations and verifications for the proper design of structures.
  • Prepare plans and specifications for design projects.
  • Estimate quantities for design projects, prepare price lists, and estimate the cost of work.
  • Participate in support stages during the tender period and in the supervision of civil engineering work from the office.
  • Act as project manager on certain projects.
  • Ensure project follow-up with the various stakeholders involved.
  • Write the required technical reports and opinions according to the mandate objectives.
  • Ensure effective client relations and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Adhere to rules and procedures that ensure the health and safety of employees and the environment, as well as the prevention of workplace incidents. Furthermore, with a view to continuous improvement, be proactive in improving health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.
