Requirements
- Civil engineering degree or related degree.
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to manage civil engineering projects.
- Good knowledge of the Civil Construction field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Proficiency in French (spoken and written).
- Intermediate level in English (spoken) and advanced (written).
- Availability for occasional travel to various sites and offices in Northern Quebec.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Realize and supervise sewer and water systems, drinking water reservoirs, new residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
- Design stormwater management structures.
- Perform the necessary calculations and verifications for the proper design of structures.
- Prepare plans and specifications for design projects.
- Estimate quantities for design projects, prepare price lists, and estimate the cost of work.
- Participate in support stages during the tender period and in the supervision of civil engineering work from the office.
- Act as project manager on certain projects.
- Ensure project follow-up with the various stakeholders involved.
- Write the required technical reports and opinions according to the mandate objectives.
- Ensure effective client relations and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Adhere to rules and procedures that ensure the health and safety of employees and the environment, as well as the prevention of workplace incidents. Furthermore, with a view to continuous improvement, be proactive in improving health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures to prevent potential hazards related to your work.
