About The Position

As an Application Engineer, you will be the primary technical point of contact for our clients. You will collaborate closely with sales and process engineering teams to design innovative and competitive water treatment solutions that address complex technical and regulatory challenges. From opportunity development through contract execution, you will lead the entire tender process with rigor and expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred, or related field)
Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical/mechanical engineering or related field
Proven experience in industrial water treatment
Strong track record in proposal and tender development
Experience in technical sales or engineering roles with direct client contact
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent recognized professional designation
Excellent command of English (written and oral)
Intermediate French required for interactions with clients outside Quebec
Exceptional analytical ability to interpret technical and commercial specifications
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Impeccable organization and time management
Strong teamwork orientation with sound judgment in changing environments.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and qualify new business opportunities in collaboration with sales and process engineering teams
Develop winning strategies by organizing resources and establishing clear timelines for proposal preparation and submission
Analyze client needs and adapt value propositions, cost structures, and process designs to optimize competitive positioning
Review and validate technical and commercial specifications, providing relevant feedback and clarifications
Collaborate on the development of P&IDs and technical documentation required for proposals
Prepare proposal content that highlights the distinctive advantages of Veolia solutions
Generate accurate cost estimates in partnership with procurement and estimation teams
Ensure compliance with all internal procedures (development, tracking, order transfer, forecasting)
Actively participate in all proposal development meetings and reviews
Maintain consistent communication with the sales team throughout the sales cycle.
