Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (building specialization, an asset)
  • Be a member of the OIQ (engineer title); PEO member (an asset)
  • Excellent understanding of HVAC system operation
  • At least 7 years of experience in building mechanics
  • Bilingual (French and English); functional English used as needed to communicate with clients, suppliers, and affiliates in Ontario
  • Team player, developed collaborative spirit
  • Versatility, proactivity, rigor, and ability to manage priorities
  • Desire to get involved in the company, adaptability to change
  • Desire to progress and develop skills in a fast-growing organization
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD software (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project implementation: carrying out complex HVAC concepts; producing Krome's plans and specifications and approving shop drawings
  • Participate in the drafting of calls for tenders, expertise reports, and technical legal opinions
  • Organize project meetings (design and follow-up); conduct site surveys and perform load calculations
  • Monitor project performance
  • Responsible for the technical team: manage and supervise engineering resources in the Montreal office, in collaboration with the Design department management
  • Participate in business development: meet clients; assess project engineering needs and perform building analysis
  • Participate in site visits with clients and document relevant data to advance preliminary and/or detailed engineering
  • And all other related tasks
