Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Recognized member of the O.I.Q.
  • Experience in the hydroelectric, energy production equipment, or related manufacturing fields.
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in technical coordination of engineering and subcontracting activities.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Legal status to work in Canada is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective communication between engineering, installation, and project control groups.
  • Organizes and facilitates internal meetings for technical activities and design reviews.
  • Ensures stakeholders correctly interpret technical specifications and expectations.
  • Defines the technical and supply plan strategy in cooperation with the relevant project manager and the procurement department.
  • Coordinates all technical documentation.
  • Participates in the selection, negotiation, and technical discussions with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring that engineering and procurement deliveries are made on time and according to established quality criteria for all systems related to their projects.
  • In collaboration with the project director, analyzes, defines, and implements a contingency plan to correct any anomalies or deviations that could impact their projects.
