About The Position
Deric is currently looking for a Civil Project Manager to join their Quebec region team! Deric is a general contractor specializing in civil works, deep foundations, process mechanics, electrical power, industrial maintenance, instrumentation and control, and automation. Our achievements include drinking and wastewater treatment plants, civil and infrastructure works, formwork and concreting, port facilities, industrial maintenance operations, and more. Requirements
- Technical/Bachelor's degree in construction engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 to 8 years of experience in project management (civil construction)
- Excellent command of French (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of the Canadian construction and/or civil engineering market
- Must be open to travel throughout the province
Nice To Haves
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (an asset)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with foremen
- Award and prepare subcontract agreements and purchase orders
- Coordinate subcontractors to avoid duplication upon arrival at the site
- Analyze the project and optimize its profitability
- Establish and monitor the site's operating budget
- Prepare and monitor schedules
- Monitor directives and change requests
- Approve invoices
