This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Infusion Therapy team at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, located at the Baptist South facility in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center integrates the clinical advancements of a leading cancer center with the extensive resources of North Florida's largest and most preferred health system. The Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse will be responsible for addressing patient needs through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and adhering to the organization's mission. This includes supervising care provided by support staff, coordinating with ancillary services, and involving patients and their families in the individualized care plan. The role also involves educating patients and their families about their disease process and care plan, acting as a patient advocate, and assisting Interventional Radiologists. The nurse will provide optimal care utilizing the nursing process.

Requirements

  • IV Team Experience
  • Oncology Infusion Experience
  • Associates of Science in Nursing Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Nursing Boards Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
  • Organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Educate of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serve as patient advocate and responsible for assisting the Interventional Radiologists
  • Provide optimum care utilizing the nursing process
